Sarah Huckabee Sanders Explains Anthony Scaramucci’s Ouster — and What Trump’s Role Was

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders addressed former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci’s departure from the White House during Monday’s press briefing, where she detailed Scaramucci’s immediate future, as well as President Donald Trump’s role in the former communication director’s ouster.

When asked by a reporter whether or not Scaramucci would hold a different role within the White House, Huckabee Sanders answered, “He does not have a role at this time.”

About Trump’s position on Scaramucci and his recent comments to The New Yorker, Huckabee Sanders said that “the president certainly felt that Anthony’s comments were inappropriate for a person in that position.”

It was announced Monday afternoon that Scaramucci would be leaving his post as communications director at the White House.

Scaramucci went on a profanity-laced tirade late last week during an interview with the New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza. Scaramucci also vowed to get to the bottom of White House leaks, saying that he would fire everyone in the White House communications shop, with the exception of press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, if the situation presented itself as necessary.
