WHCD Comedian Says Sanders Is Disappointment to ‘White Women’ While Press Sec Is Two Seats Away

On Saturday, comedian Michelle Wolf headlined the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She used her time at the microphone to roast President Donald Trump and his administration and taking the brunt of the jokes was press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

After a series of jabs at various administration officials, Wolf turned her attention to Sanders and joked that she’s “starstruck” because she loved the press secretary as Aunt Lydia in the show, “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

She turned to the press secretary’s day job as leader of the White House press briefings.

“Every time Sarah steps up to the podium I get excited because I’m not really sure what we’re gonna get,” she said. “You know, a press briefing, a bunch of lies, or divided into softball teams.”

Wolf lowered her voice and in a nod to Sanders’ almost daily altercations with CNN’s Jim Acosta, said, “It’s shirts and skins and this time don’t be such a little b***h, Jim Acosta.”

The comedian added that Sanders burns facts and uses the ashes to create “a perfect smokey eye.” After poking fun at her signature press briefing look, Wolf’s jokes took a slightly more serious turn as she joked that she’s uncertain how to address Sanders.

“What’s Uncle Tom but for white women who disappoint other white women?” she said, which was met with a round of boos followed by a long silence from the audience.

Sanders attended the dinner in place of President Donald Trump, who held a campaign rally in Michigan instead.
