CNN Guest Says the ‘Tens of Millions of People’ That Voted for President Trump Are All ‘Racist’

During a Wednesday morning segment on CNN, guest and “cultural critic” Michaela Angela Davis addressed racism in America and accused all of President Donald Trump’s voters of being racist.

“Tens of millions of people voted for him after he showed his heart for years,” she explained.

“So are you suggesting that they’re racist?” anchor John Berman asked. “All of the people who voted for Donald Trump are racist?”

“Absolutely — yes, yes,” Davis immediately said back. “They may not be violently racist. They may not be — he’s targeted. He’s very clear and strategic. Look, anti-blackness is a strategy that has been the foundation of part of the American project.”

MSNBC host Chris Hayes made a similar comment on Tuesday in the wake of ABC’s cancellation of the hit reboot “Roseanne” following Roseanne Barr’s tweet about former President Barack Obama’s adviser, Valerie Jarrett, in which she compared Jarrett to a character from “Planet of the Apes.”

“Roseanne’s problem turned out to be that she far too authentically represented the actual worldview of a significant chunk of the Trump base,” he wrote, suggesting that a large number of Trump supporters have racist beliefs.

Hayes caught some flack for his tweet, with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro retweeting him and adding, “This is how you got Trump.”
