Embedded in Her Own Controversy, Roseanne Barr Reveals Who She Really Feels Bad For

Actress and comedian Roseanne Barr revealed that amid her own controversy over comments about the former adviser to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, the person she really feels bad for is President Donald Trump.

Barr, who previously said she would be leaving Twitter, seems to have gotten even more vocal following the backlash she received after linking Jarrett’s appearance to the Muslim Brotherhood and “Planet of the Apes.”

Early Wednesday morning, Barr continued tweeting and explained that she feels bad for Trump because he “goes [through] this every single day.”

Barr’s tweet comes in the wake of her apology and repeated pleas for people to not defend her, boycott ABC, or push for another network to pick up the show.

Fox 8 reported that Barr, in a now-deleted tweet, shared that she did “something unforgivable” and repeated her plea for people to not defend her.

She added a request to not start a boycott of ABC because she isn’t a “censor” and the network has the “right to do what they wish.”

Many of Barr’s co-stars and colleagues from the show broke ties with her over her comment.

Comedian Wanda Sykes said she would not return to the show, and executive producer and “Darlene” actress Sara Gilbert condemned the star’s comment.

Co-star Michael Fishman, who played D.J. Conner on the show, also issued a statement and said everyone needs to stand up against “bias, hatred, bigotry, and ignorance.”

Barr’s tweet about Jarrett sparked such overwhelming backlash that ABC announced on Tuesday that the network canceled the reboot of her show.
