‘Ignore the Trolls!’: Ivanka Trump Hits Back After Critics Bashed Her ‘Tone-Deaf’ Photo With Son

Ivanka Trump appeared to take a swipe at critics on Tuesday after she received a plethora of backlash for posting a “tone-deaf” photo of herself and her son over the weekend.

The special assistant to the president seemingly addressed the criticism in a series of tweets, at the end of which she encouraged her followers to “Focus on what is before you, on what you can control and ignore the trolls!”:

Trump was the subject of online bashing for posting the photo featuring her holding her 2-year-old son Theodore on the heels of reports that 1,500 undocumented children were “lost” last year.

However, it’s highly likely that many such children are simply in the care of sponsors or relatives who are intentionally not responding to attempted contacts by Health and Human Services.

Many took issue with the picture given the controversy:
