Kellyanne Conway Scorches Media for Sharing Misleading 2014 Photos of Immigrant Children in Cages

Kellyanne Conway called out CNN on Tuesday for the network’s role in perpetuating the circulation of misleading 2014 photos showing immigrant children lying in cages.

“Why did a CNN reporter retweet that false — fake tweet about the migrant children in cages?” she asked in response to a question about the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

“Your CNN colleague retweeted two migrant children laying in a cage to make the point against this president,” she continued. “It happened under President Obama’s watch and deleted the tweet because it didn’t fit the narrative.”

“Do you or do you not care about the migrant children?” Conway then bluntly asked before walking away without waiting for a response.

The counselor to the president’s fiery reaction comes days after activists and reporters began sharing Obama-era photos showing undocumented immigrant children being held in cages at the border and insinuating that they were taken more recently.

President Donald Trump also slammed the move in a Tuesday morning tweet accusing Democrats of trying to make him “look bad” by suggesting the children in the photos had been detained by his administration:
