Michael Moore Wants to Stop Trump’s SCOTUS Nominee: I Will Surround The U.S. Capitol With a Million People

Filmaker Michael Moore suggested in order to prevent Senate Republicans from calling for a vote to confirm President Donald Trump’s upcoming Supreme Court nominee, he will surround the U.S. Capitol building with a million other people.

Speaking with Bill Maher on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the host asked about Moore’s “Hail Mary” solution to prevent a Trump nominee from being confirmed.

“Well I don’t think we should give up. Listen, the Senate is 51-49. Sadly, McCain will not be able to vote so it’s a 50-49 vote. Come on ” he explained. “We’ve got to push it off ’til after November.”

When Maher said the vote is going to take place before the midterms, Moore said they then have to come up with other ways to prevent the vote.

“Find ways? What does that mean,” Maher asked.

“Well, I’ll join a million other people surrounding the United States Capitol. I will stand there,” Moore replied. “This judge goes through, for the rest of all of our lives it’s a right-wing court. That’s it. It’s over.”

Despite Moore’s plan, Maher was still not optimistic about preventing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) from calling a vote before November.

Many on the left are concerned with President Trump’s opportunity to choose another Supreme Court judge after Justice Kennedy announced his plans for retirement.

“The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg told the nominees to, “Get out of my behind! Get out of my vagina! Get out!”

Co-host Joy Behar said America is becoming a dictatorship amid potential Republican control of all three branches of government.

“Let’s have everybody a Republican,” she said sarcastically. “The Supreme Court, the Congress, the presidency. What is that called? Dictatorship, I believe.”
