The Way People Reacted to Trump Visiting Pittsburgh Hospital Is Something All Americans Need to See

With President Donald Trump and some members of the first family making a visit to Pittsburgh to pay their respects to the victims of the mass shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue, the group also visited the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

As Trump and the entourage made their way through the hospital, some staff shouted at to Trump to thank him for visiting.

When he heard them, Trump and the first family turned around and went to talk to the staff.

“Thank you, Mr. President, we love you,” one woman said.

“Thanks for coming,” another said.

“Can I shake your hand, sir?” a man asked.

“You sure can,” Trump responded.

The group also shook hands with first lady Melania Trump.

“Thank you all very much,” Trump told the crowd. “Good job.”

Trump, along with wife Melania, daughter Ivanka, and son-in-law Jared, visited the Tree of Life synagogue at the invitation of its rabbi.

Trump, who, according to press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, described his visit as “very humbling and sad,” left in his motorcade after about 30 minutes at the synagogue, according to
Reuters.

“He wanted today to be about showing respect for the families and the friends of the victims as well as for Jewish Americans,” Sanders added.
