‘The Derangement Is Real Folks’: Don Jr. Mocks CNN for Segment on How the Phrase ‘Witch Hunt’ Offends Witches
Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter on Sunday to blast CNN for a segment they did covering President Donald Trump’s use of the phrase “witch hunt.”
President Trump has been under investigation since he took office. The main focus of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has been to look into any potential collusion between Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian government.
Although Mueller has gotten a few people connected to President Trump for crimes such as campaign finance violations, there have not been any direct links between Russia and President Trump, himself.
Because the president believes the investigation is a waste of time, he often refers to it as a “witch hunt”:
The Mueller Angry Democrats recently deleted approximately 19,000 Text messages between FBI Agent Lisa Page and her lover, Agent Peter S. These Texts were asked for and INVALUABLE to the truth of the Witch Hunt Hoax. This is a total Obstruction of Justice. All Texts Demanded!

Biggest outrage yet in the long, winding and highly conflicted Mueller Witch Hunt is the fact that 19,000 demanded Text messages between Peter Strzok and his FBI lover, Lisa Page, were purposely & illegally deleted. Would have explained whole Hoax, which is now under protest!

This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!

Although most would see the phrase “witch hunt” and not give it a second thought, CNN found one group of people who find the term very offensive: witches.
So, they interviewed a few witches and Wickens to find out how they feel about the president appropriating their culture.

Another witch, Amanda Yates Garcia, explained, “There’s a lot to be offended by by Donald Trump and I think his use of the term ‘witch hunt’ is very low on that list of priorities for most witches, but nevertheless, it does demonstrate his ignorance, as usual.”
Many, including Donald Trump Jr., found the segment to be bonkers:

CNN satirising anti-Trumpism, which is kinda triple reverse satire with a double pike, and beautifully ridicules CNN’s bizarre anti-Trump hysteria… https://t.co/3asAJN4rsS

Although the witch community may be upset about President Trump’s use of the phrase “witch hunt,” it probably won’t be going away anytime soon.
Mueller’s team still hasn’t reached a conclusion to their investigation, meaning President Trump will continue to hound them until they wrap it up.
As IJR previously reported, the investigation conducted by Mueller has cost the American taxpayers around $25 million over the past two years.
