Republican Jack E. Robinson III was Found Dead in His Home

Monday Republican Senate nominee Jack E. Robinson III was found dead in his home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

The Police were called to the scene and an autopsy is being done to find out the cause of the death.

Close fired to Robinson, Kim Bullock, said she talked to him few days before the death.

Robinson had “a little cough and upper chest infection,” but nothing seemed serious, he was healthy, she said.

“This was very, very unexpected,’’ Bullock said. “But he had not been active in the last few days.”

Robinson received a lot of attention last year when he suggested for Trump administration to make Cuba a state.

“President-elect Donald J. Trump should make a deal to allow Cuba to become the 51st State!” he stated after Cuban leader Fidel Castro died in 2016.

“I have spoken to many Cuban Americans who believe that statehood would be the preferred choice of the Cuban people ― especially given Puerto Rico’s recent financial problems as a U.S. commonwealth,” he stated then.

Robinson said former President Ronald Reagan was his political hero, and he has met him back in 1976.

“Four years later at Brown (University), I was the vice president of the Brown Republican Club. Reagan visited the campus, and he remembered me from 1976. I was impressed by that. He’s been an inspiration for me ever since,” he stated in a 2009 interview.

In 2000, Robinson published the “The Robinson Report.” The report summarized his shortcomings, a DWI charge that was later thrown out, a charge of possessing a dangerous weapon and a restraining order that was later pulled.

That was the time when he was running against Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

The reveal of this information had a negative impact on his candidacy and the fact that he had a car accident while doing an interview on his phone.

In 2001, Robinson ran for the Massachusetts secretary of state. Former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney, a nominee for governor at the time, dissociated himself from Jack E. Robinson because he was in the headlines for not paying the bills on his private yacht.

In 2016 Robinson ran for Congress and lost, and in 2009 he had the same results in the Senate campaign. He also tried to run for Senate in 2013 but failed again.
