He’s golfing today…again. It’s as if he’s on the senior PGA Tour instead of being POTUS. Making America great by modeling the privileged, non-working ethic of the 1%…smh. http://pic.twitter.com/67n6DvlWq9

I'm at work today like millions of Americans who serve their country and communities. #Trump is golfing for the 2nd day in a row and for the 86th time this year. #lazyTrump https://t.co/yi4K8S41ey

The White House said on Tuesday, during the White House’s first press briefing of the year, Trump’s use of the golf course helps push his agenda, via NY Post:
The White House on Tuesday defended President Trump’s scores of trips to his golf courses during his first year in office — arguing that hitting the links with lawmakers paid big policy dividends.
Washington Examiner reports she said Trump uses golfing to form “deeper and better relationships with members of Congress.”
"Developing deeper and better relationships with members of Congress," is the most significant thing @POTUS has achieved during all of his time golfing, according to @PressSec. http://pic.twitter.com/6FbCZnznqW
— Steve Herman (@W7VOA) January 2, 2018
She attributed these relationships to having helped the government pass the largest tax reform bill in over three decades: “Those relationships have helped push forward the president’s agenda, specifically when it comes to helping get the tax reform and tax cuts passed.”

And, “A lot of that, I think, and the success of that came from strong relationships that the president has had, and he’s played golf with a number of senators and used that time certainly to accomplish that.”
She also added:
Sanders, though, said many of Trump’s successes during his first year in office, such as the gains against the Islamic State and the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, can be attributed to the bonds he’s forged with others while golfing.
“I think we’ve had an extremely successful 2017,” she said. “And some of that is due to the relationship-building that he was able to do there.”

And, from Independent Journal Review:
Sanders told the reporter that she thought the press, not the White House, had an issue with Trump’s time on the course. “The president’s extremely proud of the accomplishments we had during 2017. I don’t think anyone can argue, it’s probably one of the most successful first years in office.”
She specifically touted Trump’s performance in areas such as nominating Supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch and defeating ISIS. “I think we’ve had an extremely successful 2017 and some of that’s due to the relationship building he was able to do [on the golf course.]”

During one of Trump’s golf outings in recent days, the President hosted members of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Check it out, via the Daily Caller:
Trump welcomed the Coast Guard members and told them he wanted them to have a fun tournament to figure out who the best player is.
“It’s an honor to have you on the course,” Trump said.
And:
According to the White House pool report, sixty members of the Coast Guard accepted Trump’s invitation to use his golf course for the day. Trump also provided the service members lunch.
