WATCH: RNC Uses Nancy Pelosi’s Defense of MS-13 During ‘Animals’ Debate Against Her in Brutal New Ad

Many Democrats — including Minority House Leader Nancy Pelosi — defended the humanity of MS-13 members after President Donald Trump referred to them as “animals,” and the RNC just used her own words against her in a brutal new ad ahead of midterms.

The video features a compilation of footage showing MS-13 members attacking people and media figures rattling off descriptions of some of their most violent crimes. The footage is then juxtaposed with that of Pelosi rebuking the president for his word choice:

“When the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘These aren’t people, these are animals,’ you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person? We’re all God’s children. There’s a spark of divinity in every person…calling people ‘animals’ is not a good thing.”

The ad ends with a simple message scrawl across the screen: “Democrats’ midterm message: MS-13 killers…They aren’t so bad.”

The ad comes weeks after left-leaning politicians and media members misrepresented President Trump’s comments to have been about all undocumented immigrants. Even once corrections were made, some continued to defend MS-13 against the president’s attack.

President Trump made the remark during a roundtable discussion on California’s “sanctuary state” policies when a sheriff pointed out the difficulty in deporting MS-13 members:

“We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy.”
