Aretha Franklin’s Funeral Just Turned Political — Al Sharpton Wants to ‘Teach’ Trump What ‘Respect’ Means

The famous American singer, Aretha Franklin, was well-known for her “Respect” song and Rev. Al Sharpton just used it in his tribute at her funeral — to diss President Donald Trump.

Sharpton politicized Franklin’s funeral when he said Trump doesn’t know what respect means.

Sharpton mentioned his misspelling of respect the other day, “And a lot of y’all corrected me. Now I want y’all to help me correct President Trump to teach him what it means.”

Continuing talking about the president, Sharpton said, “And I say that because when word went out that Miss Franklin passed, Trump said, ‘She used to work for me.’ No, she used to perform for you. She worked for us. Aretha never took orders from nobody but God.”

He also added, “She was a black woman in a white man’s world.”

Concluding, Sharpton said, “She fought a good fight. Now it’s time to crown the queen.”

Franklin, famous for her powerful-voice making, her “Queen of Soul,” died from pancreatic cancer at 76-years-old on August 16.
