In-N-Out Donated to Republican Campaigns ― Now Some Californians Are Planning to Boycott
In-N-Out is the latest company to get slapped with a political boycott after reports show they donated to California Republicans.
Reporter, Gabe Schneider, discovered the financial disclosers showing that the popular burger franchise had donated $25,000 to the California Republican Party.

After the donation surfaced, many were outraged, calling the information “painful.” California Democrat Party Chair, Eric Bauman, even demanded a boycott.
This information will be painful to many of you, and you may act on it, or not, as your conscience demands.
But be aware that In-N-Out Burger just donated $25,000 to the California GOP, and donated $30,000/year in 2016 and 2017.

Et tu In-N-Out? Tens of thousands of dollars donated to the California Republican Party… it’s time to #BoycottInNOut – let Trump and his cronies support these creeps… perhaps animal style!https://t.co/9zkdFaG5CJ

Some conservative took to Twitter to mock the boycott.
They should start a socialist burger chain to compete with In-N-Out instead. Call it Hammer & Pickle. https://t.co/wCvBmzCB4f

Although many were shocked to find that In-N-Out had donated to Republicans, others were quick to point out that the burger franchise donates to each party, with more money going to Democrats.
A report from Time Magazine found that, in 2014, 52 percent of In-N-Out’s donations went to Democrats and 48 percent went to Republicans. Fortune also noted that $50,000 went to Californians for Jobs and a Strong Economy, a Democrat PAC that supports pro-business candidates.
Of course, In-N-Out isn’t the first restaurant chain to be targeted for political statements. Boycotts of the Christian company, Chick-fil-A, are as dependable as the company’s friendly service.
Boston Beer Company, the makers of beverages like Sam Adams, Angry Orchard ciders, and Twisted Tea ice teas, also faced a boycott for thanking President Donald Trump for the tax cuts.
Luckily for In-N-Out, many previous outrage protests ended in failure. When Parkland survivor, David Hogg, urged viewers and advertisers to boycott Laura Ingraham on Fox News, her weekly viewership went up.
