WATCH: Kellyanne Conway Reveals She Is A Victim Of Sexual Assault

White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway revealed Sunday that she was once sexually assaulted.

Conway shocked Jake Tapper, telling the host of CNN’s “State of the Union” that Kavanaugh’s nomination should not be treated as a flashpoint for the #MeToo movement, and Kavanaugh should be given the presumption of innocence.

“I feel very empathetic for victims of sexual assault, sexual harassment and rape,” Conway, who rarely speaks about her personal life, said while appearing to tear up. “I’m a victim of sexual assault.”

She went on to outline how she feels Kavanaugh, accused of multiple sexual assaults without evidence, should be treated over the next week, as the FBI conducts an intensive background check focusing on Kavanaugh’s high school and college years.

“I’ve just had it,” Conway said. “Let’s not compare Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby, and a few others, to what’s happened here. If we’re going to have a national conversation, stop judging the victims and perpetrators according to their politics.”

Conway also refuted claims that President Donald Trump supports Kavanaugh because he’s also been accused of mistreating women.

“People on Twitter and elsewhere are saying right now, ‘oh how can she work for Donald Trump?’ I work for President Trump because he’s so good to the women who work for him,” she said. “I don’t want to hear it from anybody.”
