Florida Students Walk Out of Class to Show Support for Second Amendment
Rockledge High School students walked out of their Florida school on Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment. According to Florida Today, sophomore Chloe Deaton and junior Anna Delaney organized the walkout to clear up misconceptions about the Second Amendment. She added that it was important to ensure students with opinions different from the majority had their voices heard. “It’s all over the news right now that all students hate guns. I wanted to show that not all students feel that way,” junior Zachary Schneider told Florida Today. School administrators estimated about 75 students participated in the walkout, which began with the national anthem and “God Bless America.” “We were built on certain rights and that was one of the original rights, that we should have the right to bear arms,” Deaton told students during her speech.Rockledge High School students walked out of their Florida school on Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment.
