Rockledge High School students walked out of their Florida school on Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment. According to Florida Today, sophomore Chloe Deaton and junior Anna Delaney organized the walkout to clear up misconceptions about the Second Amendment. She added that it was important to ensure students with opinions different from the majority had their voices heard. “It’s all over the news right now that all students hate guns. I wanted to show that not all students feel that way,” junior Zachary Schneider told Florida Today. President Donald Trump criticized Gov. Jerry Brown (D-Calif.) for pardoning five former convicts who face deportation. On Friday, Brown pardoned five men — Sokha Chhan, Phann Pheach, Daniel Maher, Daniel Mena, and Francisco Acevedo Alaniz. All of the men had previously been convicted of felony crimes and faced deportation. According to KNBC, the pardon won’t automatically stop deportation proceedings, but the men will no longer have the convictions that federal authorities used as the basis for their deportation. Nearly 100 recently arrested MS-13 gang members arrived in the United States by crossing through the U.S.-Mexico border as “unaccompanied minors” and then getting resettled throughout the country by the federal government. About 475 gang members have been arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency’s “Operation Matador” sting, with 99 of those gang members arrested having arrived in the U.S. as “unaccompanied minors.” Of the 99 MS-13 gang members who entered the country as unaccompanied minors, 64 of them were granted Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJ), which acts as a quasi-amnesty program for young illegal aliens who cross the southern border. Of the 475 gang members arrested by ICE in this operation, 65 of them had been allowed to be released into the U.S. by an immigration judge, while four were re-arrested on criminal charges after they were released. A woman who was jumped by masked armed men in her own driveway Tuesday morning was able to break away, retrieve a gun from inside her home, and open fire. The suspects immediately fled the scene. KHOU reports that the woman was jumped around 2:30 a.m. in her southwest Houston driveway. She managed to escape, running inside her house. She opened fire when the attackers allegedly “tried to break into the home.” Police do not know if any of the suspects were wounded but have been monitoring local hospitals for gunshot victims. Officers “do not believe the crime was random.” They think the attack was targeted but did not suggest a motive. Thirteen-year-old Vermont gubernatorial candidate Ethan Sonneborn, a Democrat, wants the state to pass a gun control bill, and he wants to be sure an “assault weapons” ban is added to it. NBC 5 quotes Sonneborn saying, “My generation has been taking an important step in this because we’re the ones were getting shot. This affects us directly and people who say it can’t happen in Vermont, we came this close to it happening in Vermont. Fordham University in New York City is disciplining a student coffee shop manager after she kicked out a group of students for wearing Donald Trump hats. Breitbart News reported on the incident in December after Fordham coffee shop manager, student Kristal Ho, kicked a group of students out for their pro-Trump apparel. On Thursday, an officer in Pasadena, Texas, shot a suspect dead after the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at him. Texas officer, 40-year-old Marc Adams, captured the incident on dash cam. The Daily Mail reports that the suspect, driving a white Nissan, exited his car, turned, and appeared to point a gun at Adams. Adams can be heard yelling, “Show me your hands,” when the suspect appears to point the gun. The suspect walks away from the car after Adams’ first few shots. He then walks back toward the car and allegedly points the gun at Adams again. Adams then fired the fatal shot. A Connecticut high school was put on lockdown when an enraged black school employee wielding a large kitchen knife began yelling that he wanted to “kill every white man” he could find. Carl Lemon, an in-school suspension coordinator at Harding High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, was arrested and charged with second-degree threatening and breach of peace after threatening to go on a racially motivated stabbing spree, the Associated Press said. The 63-year-old school official was later released after posting a $5,000 bond, court documents reveal. The arrest came on March 28 after school principal Dane Brown put the school on lockdown after one of Lemon’s co-workers reported his rants about killing white people.
