The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a major blow to Planned Parenthood on Tuesday, refusing to take up a case against an Arkansas law strictly limiting medication-induced abortions. The high court’s rejection means a 2015 law could soon take effect in the conservative state. The controversial measure requires abortion providers to have contractual agreements with doctors who have hospital admitting privileges, Bloomberg reported. The lawsuit, filed by the only two Planned Parenthood clinics in Arkansas, argued no obstetrician in the state would agree to the contract required by the law.
